This refers to Nilanjana Biswas’ “This business of desire” (September 9). Even though our society has made many advances, we still do not allow transgenders their rights. Movies use transgenders to make fun of them but do not project their suffering. Recently two transgenders in Kerala committed suicide unable to cope with the attitude of society. We need to accept them as human beings and remember that before God, we are all equal.
