Etenally young
If proof of eternal youth is needed, there is only one Bollywood icon who can stand the test. So it was no surprise when the ever-young DEV ANAND, looking dapper despite his age and with the same boundless energy one always associates with him, relea
sed his autobiography exhorting his audience to “live”.
For Dev Anand, the clock just keeps ticking; he “never looks back to dwell on the past”. That, claims Anand, “is a negative emotion and these weigh you down. I love life too much and, for me, everyday is beautiful.” The actor says he still has a lot to look forward to and feels he has to keep moving to get things done.
“I have films lined up, which I had to put on the back burner because of my book. Now that it is out, I will go back to my films.” Didn’t the flops or non-starters disappoint him? “See, there is a time and a place for everything. I never dwell on these too long.” Just keep moving, that’s his credo for eternal youth.
