With reference to “More than mere air warriors” (October 7), the Air Force stories were well told. However, in the box item “IAF Milestones”, one date needs a clarification. The first ever batch of women officers (25 engineers) was commissioned on April 6, 1993 at AFTC, Bangalore. Other ground duty batches were commissioned later at AFA, Hyderabad, on June 21, and the first batch of women pilots in Dec 1994.
