Dev is Dev

This refers to “Incurable romantic” by V. Gangadhar (October 14). Various epithets have been used to describe Dev Anand during the last six decades. To people growing up in the 1950s and 1960s, he was the epitome of all that one desired for himself as a youth. But, Dev soon became a prisoner of the persona he had started cultivating for himself. May he come out with a film that fulfils his as yet unfulfilled promise as an actor!
