Balanced approach

Suresh Menon’s “Where are the women?”(October 28) brought home the fact that in all the defining moments of scientific discovery, women have contributed in equal measure along with their male counterparts. That many deserving women did not appear in the Nobel radar is indeed very unfortunate. Subordination, prejudice and bias are the real culprits to be blamed. It is high time the Nobel committee takes a balanced approach towards both the genders.
