Kalpana Sharma’s “Srinagar Diary” (December 2) is thought provoking. Srinagar has seen economic changes but the political climate continues to be tense and unpredictable. The initiative undertaken by 64 women hailing from both sides of the border is laudable. This can help kick-start the peace process so that both societies can live in peace and harmony. In the case of any war or unrest, it is women who become easy targets and victims all over the world.
