“Medievel skyscrapers” (Decemeber 2) provided an excellent insight into the mores of medieval Italy. Just like the pilgrims who embark on journeys after writing wills and saying a prayer, asking forgiveness for trespasses, and apologising with neighbours, family and friends for unintended hurts and wounds, should we not all do the same in our short journey of life? This timeless and wonderful message gives it a rare depth.
