Not just bureaucrats

V. Gangadhar has narrated in his humorous style how Nairs made Ottapalam famous for turning out some of the more renowned bureaucrats in India’s civil service (January 13). However he has missed writing about some of the best exponents of Kathakali, Mohiniattam and the best Thayambaka experts who have also hailed from in and around Ottapalam. Incidentally, Ottapalam did not have the privelege of enriching itself with Dubai money!
