Nostalgia

Indu Balachandran’s article “A Sing-along around Liverpool” (January 13) literally took those of us who were fans of the Beatles in the 1960s and 70s back to those days when the foursome were hot favourites and their songs were chartbusters.

Their lyrics, though simple, were meaningful and they composed catchy tunes which even now are pleasant on the ears. The music we hear today leaves much to be desired, or perhaps we belong to an older generation which cannot vibe with today’s music!
