Life after marriage
SUCHITRA BEHAL
Being a Bachchan is not easy. When you are a superstar in your own right and married into one of the foremost families of Indian cinema, you are bound to be tagged by controversy.
For actor AISHWARYA RAI BACHCHAN this is part of a daily grind. Post-marriage, Rai Bachchan, who has been shooting for “Jodha Akbar”, took some time off to deny some rumours, curtail some curiosity about her maternal duties and put in perspective her views on marriage.
Gushing about her new family, Ash insists that she would “recommend marriage to everyone. It’s a lot of hard work but I’ll continue to say go for it. It’s no longer about me, it’s about us.” She added that she was lucky to have found a family that gave her absolute love. “I’ve always been caring towards my parents but, after marriage, I value them even more.”
Denying rumours that she was pregnant, Rai Bachchan said, “Motherhood is a beautiful eventuality. Becoming parents would be lovely but I am not pregnant, so don’t speculate.”
