In the article on extremism then and now, the author had rightly pointed out that we lack leaders. Our leaders lack strategy and get cowed down by external threats. Sardar Patel was called an iron man and can we equate anybody with him?

The politicians of today lead a comfortable life in palatial bungalows and none of them has a zeal to deliver. We need a multi-pronged approach to handle extremism and the government should shun its bureaucratic attitude.
