Run for health

I am 36 years old weighing 102 kg. I first read the article on running by Rahul Verghese in The Hindu a few weeks back. Till then I was only a walker citing knee pain. Since reading the article I started running. I first ran for two minutes of my 45-minute walk. In the last 30 days alone I’ve made good progress and I’m running for about 15 minutes. Surprisingly my knees have gained strength I’ve made some diet changes. I eat a zero salt diet for five days in a week since I’m on medication for BP. Of late I’ve been wondering how I could have missed such a wonderful thing as running for so many years! I hope I can inspire my wife to run and also the people living around.
