Not to be left behind is director Farhan Akhtar who has now donned the mantle of not only actor but also a singer. And if the initial reactions are to be believed, he has not only managed pretty well but done a great job of it. A modest Akhtar says t
hat through his role in the film “Rock On”, he is reliving a childhood dream. “I have been very excited and I hope I’ve done a good job in front of the camera. I loved my role in ‘Rock On’ and had always dreamed that I would be somewhat like my character,” says Akhtar. He has spent the better part of the year acting and is now looking forward to directing his next film. But this “is one experience that has been a novelty for me,” says he. “I had a lot of fun singing and I do hope audiences receive it well. We had wanted the sound track to be fresh with a new twist to it,” says Akhtar of his singing debut.
