TENSEL TOWN
India in Paris
This time the Salon Du Cinema at Paris is said to be concentrating on Indian films only. The fab four from the Bachchan family —Amitabh, Abhishek, Aishwarya and Jaya — are expected to be the chief guests at the event and will be instrumental in trying to sell Indian movies in the international market.
Thankfully, this time around, they are not trying to push Bollywood alone as even Mani Rathnam and Vikram are being invited to be present.
Not ready to forgive
Just after Salman Khan finished giving a piece of his mind about Shah Rukh Khan in the Indian media, Shah Rukh Khan is trying to be a nice guy, talking in detail about the entire issue and calling the matter very silly as well. SRK is trying his bit to ensure that Salman tries to change his stance, but sources close to Salman say that the forgiveness from Salman is not going to come in a hurry.
Rewrite the book
As the fate of the celluloid translation of Chetan Bhagat’s “One Night at a Call Centre” into the film “Hello” was similar to a missed call, filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani of the Munnabhai series fame who was using his book Five Point Someone to make a film called “Three Idiots” has now realised that he should try and change the script a bit and make it friendlier to the silver screen. “It is different from the book now,” says Aamir Khan.
No ego hassles
Naseeruddin Shah seems to have no ego issues, unlike other Bollywood actors. After a sparkling performance in “A Wednesday”, the actor will now be seen in Shivam Nair’s film “Maharathi” which is based on a famous Gujarati play by the same name.
Paresh Rawal has the key role in the film.
Naseer, however, has no qualms playing second fiddle. “Paresh is the central character in the film. And I have no issues playing a supporting actor to him,” says Naseer.
