TINSEL TOWN
No martial law
Contrary to popular perception that Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has gone ahead and learnt martial arts for her film “Chandni Chowk to China”, the actress says that that’s not the case at all.
“I didn’t learn any particular martial art, but I was put up on rigs and did plenty of hard physical training. It’s made me very fit,” says the actress. Seems that the media too was put on rigs earlier by the PR department.
Like father, like sons
Bobby Deol is one guy who does not talk much when he has nothing to say about work. His family too has been like that. Barring papa Dharmendra who makes an exception sometimes these days because he has such a huge body of work to chatter about, bada bhaiyya Sunny too is not comfortable talking when films aren’t coming up. The idea clearly is to avoid talking about personal issues. SRK and Salman should learn from these guys.
Abs-olute photoshop?
Everyone has been raving about the eight pack abs etc that Aamir Khan has got for “Ghajini”. We love it as well. But the buzz at the moment says that the Photoshop operator has not been given any credit for “working out” with
Aamir Khan.
If Amol Gupte was deprived of his directorial credit for “Taare Zameen Par”, are we seeing another disgruntled employee? Incidentally, the special effects operator who did the train shot in “Ghulam” also squealed a while ago.
Tusshar’s dilemma
Life can be strange at times. When Tusshar Kapoor made a sincere attempt to do good roles with dialogues and song and dance sequences, he was snubbed by the audiences. Maybe they thought he wasn’t right.
But when he disappeared in “Gayab”, the film did well for him. Further still, when he shut his mouth and had no dialogues in “Golmaal” and “Golmaal Returns”, those films too did well. Now poor Tushki does not know what to do!
Real copying reel?
We got some dope on what exactly Hrithik Roshan’s look and character in the film “Kites” is. Apparently, the actor plays a conniving thug and scamster who also doubles up as a salsa instructor in the movie. But the sad part is that
a case of not paying up has been filed against the Roshans and the local company for not paying the wages of the foreign hands hired for the shoot.
