TINSEL TOWN

No additional security

Aamir Khan is clearly bold enough. While the actor did protest over the Mumbai attacks by wearing a black band, we did notice that he was indeed not accompanied by many security men as is often the case.

“No I have not increased my security at all,” he says responding to whether he has done a Bachchan, who has even kept a revolver for his security. “No. I haven’t bought any weapon also,” he says quickly.

Abhay cannot be intimate

Abhay Deol, who was very unlucky in his career before “Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!” is not too comfortable with all kinds of roles. Though Lucky Abhay has been seen in a few romantic flicks earlier — “Ahista Ahista”, “Socha Na Tha” etc. — he has confessed that he is not very comfortable doing intimate scenes. “Doing intimate scenes on the screen is a little difficult for me,” says Abhay. (Hmm…what if a certain Neetu Chandra is the leading lady, Abhay?)

Govinda has followed numerology so much that he has changed everything in his house accordingly. His astrologer has told him that the number 9 is very good for him and hence he should change everything in his life to suit that. So all his telephone numbers and the number plates on his cars have been changed. Certainly this is a new number from this unpredictable star. What’s he going to change next? Reach the sets sharp at 9 a.m.? Naaah!

Adi is slow

Shah Rukh Khan, who is working for the third time in a row with Aditya Chopra in this week’s release “Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi”, says that Adi has been a tad too slow with directing films himself. “I have told Adi to make atleast 30 films by the time he retires. He’s about 13 years in the film industry and had he made seven films by now, he could have made six ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenges’,” he says.

Strange comeback

While the world might be wondering why an actor like Rajesh Khanna would want to return with a B-grade film like “Wafaa” this week, director Rakesh Sawant shocks us even more with some revelations he had to make. “It took sometime to convince him but once he agreed to do it he did everything without a fuss. He has even done three intimate scenes with the heroine in the film. That is something he has never done,” says Rakesh.
