Angelina Jolie can do anything to get the right publicity. She started a trend of sorts when she wore a dress backwards to the Screen Actors Guild Awards. We do not know how designer Max Azria would have reacted to that but the actress’ stylist Jen Rade says that Angie turned the blue dress around, so she could show off the tattoos on her back. We remember how Kareena Kapoor had worn a backless recently to show a love bite.
How Jake broke back
“Brokeback Mountain” star Jake Gyllenhaal, who was arrested for alleged misdemeanour and battery earlier, has now been waiting to know when he would be called to trial. Jake has been mingling for a few days with other potential jurors and court officials as part of the trial. Sources say that the actor was in fact allowed to go through court questioning to enable juror suitability in a private room.
Jessica in trouble
Pop singer Jessica Simpson is in trouble now. Jessica has been sued for $10 million in a breach of contract lawsuit. Allegedly, she had reached the shoot of a workout DVD drunk. The shoot took place, but was in a mess allegedly because an intoxicated Jessica could not get her steps right. Incidentally this shoot took place for a fitness company called Speedfit in 2005. Later her manager-father Joe refused to sign off on the project, preventing the Speedfit bosses from releasing the DVD.
Lohan vs Ronson
Michael Lohan, father of Lindsay Lohan, is upset that his daughter’s lesbian relationship with Samantha Ronson is destroying her life. He has reportedly been calling up all her friends imploring them to convince Lindsay to move out of the relationship. Michael is also upset that Ronson has allegedly impersonated his daughter online. Ronson has clearly denied the charge. Ronson has counter-alleged that Lohan is using his daughter to make money.
Rap for Phoenix
The Walk The Line star Joaquim Phoenix is in the midst of a controversy alleging that his rap career is more of a prank. Phoenix had recently performed at a Las Vegas nightclub and was shot by his brother in law Casey Affleck. Those who had a look at the video say it was rubbish and said that it seemed like a hoax.
But Phoenix’s PR person Susan Patricola says the actor has taken a sabbatical from cinema to focus on a music career.
