TINSEL TOWN

Behl tolls again

After the film “Drona” flopped at the box office, Goldie Behl is not keen to start his next film as a director in a hurry. Rather, he has asked Shashi Kapoor’s son Kunal Kapoor to direct a film called “Shor”. “Shor ” has, incidentally, been written by Anurag Kashyap who seems to be on a roll these days. The final draft of the script is being readied after which the casting for the film will take place.

Ghost who directs

Adhyayan Suman is all praise for Mahesh Bhatt after the latter had cast him in “Raaz” and now in “Jashn” after that. “It is a wonderful feeling to be directed by someone like Mahesh Bhatt,” says Adhyayan.

Oops, “Jashn” is being directed by Hasnain Hyderabadwala and Raksha Mistry. “Zakhm” was Mahesh Bhatt’s last film as a director. The director duo had done “Killer” and “The Train” earlier as directors. So, is some ghost direction going on?

'Dev D' makes money

Anurag Kashyap’s film “Dev D” has grossed a cool Rs. 9.5 crore in its first weekend of release across India. It is a great collection for a movie which has been made at quite a low cost. After Kashyap’s disastrous “No Sm oking”, this should light him up.

Combing Anurag

Kalki, the French girl from Puducherry, says that her “Dev D” director and now her fiancé did not dress up well for their date. “But what Anurag did was to comb his hair, he shaved as well and even put on a good aftershave,R 21; she laughs.

Known for his carefree attitude, Anurag might soon turn over a new leaf thanks to the new woman in his life. Anurag is divorced from his first wife.

School’s cool

Shahid Kapoor’s film “Pathshaala”, directed by Ahemed Khan, is having a hard time getting released. Khan says that he is now waiting for the recession to blow over. Hey, the school kids will grow up by then.

75 for Priyan

Billu Barber’s title may have changed with the barbers snipping off the name Barber from the film’s title, but then the film is the 75th one being directed by director S. Priyadarshan. “I have always wanted to work with Shah Rukh Kh an. And it is wonderful that he is in a landmark film as a producer as well,” says the director.

Three earlier attempts by Priyadarshan to cast SRK had failed.
