RACERS REJOICE as talks of the city having a F-1 track are bubbling under. Adding to the adrenalin rush is a theme pub based on the Formula1 concept, the Chequered Flag, the Kingfisher pub at Runway-9. In fact this branded pub is turning out to be a popular hang out spot for the young folk and families in the twin cities. About the new addition, "do your karting and finish your race at the pub is what we convey at Chequered Flag. Runway 9 is three-and-a-half years old and a popular destination with families. We came up with the idea since we already had the go-karting facility here and teamed up with Kingfisher since the brand is associated with motor racing. Also, Chequered Flag is a full-fledged restaurant that serves Indian and Chinese cuisine. We are working on the membership concept that we will announce shortly now that we have amenities that fulfil the family entertainment concept," says Nihar Mody of Runway 9.
RACY THEME: Inspired by F1.
Chequered Flag offers two options, a snazzy F-1 indoors with pulsating music and a refreshing sit-out. Open from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m., the pub lines up some delectable food as well. Try out the pub lunches, priced at Rs. 69 and Rs. 89 for the vegetarian and non-vegetarian fare respectively. The place is coming up with the screening of F-1 races shortly. So, the next time you want to chill, you know where to zoom.
