Stifling pace

THE streets rarely resound with boisterous old-time games. Between learning theorems grammar, and discovering Tendulkars and Anands in our children, we have lost the pleasure of watching the setting sun. Wordsworth's poems were a result of his belief that poetry is the outpouring of feelings recollected in tranquillity. Are we forcing children to be eternal travellers, watching the world go by in horrendous pace? We are packing their lives with so many activities that they will grow up without any happy memories of childhood.
