Good food, better feel
SO WHAT is the `mantra' for a successful restaurant? You would say, good food. But one visit to the newly opened speciality restaurant `Mantra' at New Delhi's International Trade Towers might lead you to add that ambience too matters.
With its roomy lounge, light fusion music and dazzling lightning, it is an appropriate place to sit and relax after a tiring day at work. Economically priced menu means that one can tuck into one's ordered dishes without dishing out too many notes. Besides, an elaborate menu also helps in making a decision.
The restaurant owner Simran Bedi says, "We have express lunch for corporate clients. A three course meal, Indian or Continental, is available for Rs.175". In the afternoon, there is buffet while in the evening, a la carte menu.
One can try out its delicious Norwegian Smoked Salmon served with wasabi bavarois, mixed greens and capers. Priced at Rs. 385, the dish stands out even though it is served in substantially small quantity. Or order Pan Seared Duck Liver Escalope, served with delectable caramelised apple and blue berry, but only if the duck is fresh.
Have a sweet tooth? Try out Bitter Sweet Chocolate Truffle. For Rs. 175, one gets a huge piece of chocolate truffle, tastefully decorated, along with a spoonful of vanilla ice cream. In a word, it's yummy.
