Rahman: breaking musical barriers.

THE MOVIE world of China will soon see an Indian creating musical wonders for them. Several countries have had their share of A.R. Rahman's melodies, and now we hear the Chinese too will soon get a chance to see the musician at work. Rahman's score for Andrew Lloyd Webber's Bombay Dreams catapulted him to international acclaim. And now, the Chennai-ite is said to be scoring the music for "Warriors of Heaven and Earth", a period saga of the Chinese, to be directed by He Peng of Red Firecracker and Green Firecracker fame. This makes Rahman the first Indian to be working on melodies behind the Great Wall.
