Poetry awards

The Satyamurthy Charitable Trust has announced its decision to honour poets and hard workers for the years 2002, 2003. Two persons each would be selected in both categories and a cash prize of Rs.1,116 given to them.

The poets who wish to compete for the awards would have to submit two copies of their works along with their applications. The hard workers would be selected from the Hindustan Shipyard Limited. The awards will be given to the recipients at a function to be organised on November 19, on the occasion of the third death anniversary of Modu Gurumurthy, a former shipyard employee on whose name the awards have been instituted.
