Vegetarian delights


FOR THE die-hard vegetarians this could be a culinary treat. Chola Sheraton's ongoing vegetarian food festival (till October 19) at its Peshawri restaurant has a unique spread of kebabs. Navaratani Seekh, dum ke mushroom, mewe aur ankur ki tikki and tandoori broccoli are part of the menu besides the usual Peshawri preparations.

Consistent research by Welcomgroup's chefs into the tandoori dishes of the Himalayan region has led to recreating the old world taste and the festival attempts to present the same for Chennai-ites.

Carpets from Bukhara on the stone-finish walls and earthenware crockery lend an authentic ambience to the festival theme.
