OF LATE, the craze for exotic locations has made producers and directors scout for the unusual. Switzerland, Australia and New Zealand are out and the latest hot spot are the scenic islands of Greece. Located south of Athens in the middle of Aegean sea, the Mykonos and Santorini islands have become popular with Bollywood and regional filmmakers.

In a way, it was Shahrukh Khan who discovered this summer spot in the Mediterranean where his "Chalte Chalte" was shot. He had danced with the beautiful Rani Mukherjee and later Tamil director Vikraman shot his Telugu film "Vasantham" with Venkatesh and Aarthi Agarwal. Both the films were super hits and now producers are making a beeline for Greece.

Recently director Saran along with Madhavan, Amoga and Pooja shot two songs for the latest film "Jay Jay" on these locations. Said Maddy: "This location is picturesque and ideal to shoot songs". Those who took a peek at the songs including Kamalhassan and K. Balachandar readily agreed with him.
