'New role

KONKONA SEN-SHARMA gave a sterling performance in her first venture, which fetched her the National Award. `Mrs. Iyer' may have been helped enormously by the sensitive script and the sensibilities of her mother Aparna Sen. But there is no doubting her talent. She is all set to play the journalist in Madhur Bhandarkar's movie titled Page 3. The director may not have had a hit after his much acclaimed Chandni Bar, but he has conceptualised Page 3 in line with the current trend. The film will look at socialites and their culture through the eyes of a journalist. Surely Konkona will measure up to it.
