Boom-erang?
VULGARITY AND skin show coupled with a weak script and an even weaker direction; glamour and astronomical budgets are hardly of any use. This just about sums up what most of the media described "Boom" as. But director Kaizad Gustad squarely blames the media for the failure. Its technical brilliance is unparalleled, the director cries hoarse. Absolutely dejected about the so-called `biased reports', Kaizad repents that the film would have done well without any review. After all, he argues, even "Devdas" was written off initially. But it was the people who hailed its cinematic exuberance. Perhaps the director still awaits the people's verdict for "Boom" too, a la "Devdas." Whew!
