Then check out SPIC MACAY's South Zone Convention that takes place October 18 and 19 at the National Law School campus at Nagarabhavi. Chief Minister S.M. Krishna will inaugurate the folk festival at 6 p.m. on Saturday, and Kiran Seth, Founder and Chairperson of SPIC MACAY, will address the function. There's also Dollu Kunitha, the thrilling drum dance, o0n the cards. But be at the venue by 6.30 a.m. on both days, for, that's when the action starts.
Sunday promises more with a panel discussion, Culture as a Career The Challenges of Preserving Traditional Arts. Participants include Ramachandra Guha, Jaya Jaitly, Arundhati Nag, T.M. Krishna, and Arnab Chakrabarthy.
