A young director

A. M. Ratnam is South India's top producer who is referred to as the man with the Midas touch. Now, his eldest son Jothi Krishna, 22 has turned to the family business by directing the bilingual "Enakku 20 Unakku 18" starring Tarun, Trisha and Shriya with music by A. R. Rahman. Jothi says he had to convince his father who was against the idea of his becoming a director. So after securing a B.A. honours degree from the University of Wales, Newport, in filmmaking, video and script-writing, he started his work. Says Jothi: "Enakku 20 Unakku 18" is an unusual love story with 45 minutes of computer graphics and six super songs. One of the songs has been picturised in 95 different locations." The audio will be launched on Friday in style, he says.
