Tales and tunes

IT IS theatre with a difference. The Theater Treibwerk from Hamburg is presenting "Speaking Stories", a musical production based on Indian folk tales.

The programme will be staged on November 14, 3 p.m. (specially for schools) and November 15, 7 p.m., at the Music Academy, TTK Road.

The presentation of Indian themes is from a Western perspective and adapted to the forms prevalent there. Directed by Martina van Boxen, it has Erik Schaffler and Lisperoglou, with Uwe Schade on the cello.

Theater Triebwerk was founded in 1995. It has participated in many national and international festivals.

The invitations for "Speaking Stories" are available at the Max Mueller Bhavan, Khader Nawaz Khan Road.
