`Rajyotsava' cultural fete
The rich cultural heritage of Karnataka came alive at the 48th Karnataka Rajyotsava (Karnataka formation day) celebrated at the Kaveri Kannada Sangham auditorium last Sunday. The highlights of the evening were the variety entertainment programme by Monika, Bharatanatyam in Kannada and Kannada folk dances by Shantala Rao, Sphurti and Navya.
Rohit Prabhu performed a Konkani folk dance.
The General Manager of Coromandel Fertilisers Ltd., A.A. Rama Murthy, who participated as chief guest, released a souvenir on the occasion.
The senior-most member of the Sangha, M.S. Rao, was felicitated on the occasion. The Sangha president, B. Prabhakar Rao, presided.
