SINCE THE release of Ek Chhoti Si Love Story, Manisha Koirala has been in the news for one reason or another. Then one heard criticism about her role in Market, a film about sex workers that sank without a trace. Topping the list of controversies is the latest one involving the film Indira Gandhi - A tryst with Destiny. Party loyalists have raised objections to Manisha's donning the role of Indira after her performance in Market. "Market was a true portrayal of the unfortunate women trapped in a dingy world and so some crudity is obvious. I purposely put on weight for the role, just as Shabana did for Mandi. And as far as Indira Gandhi... , I'm an actress and varied roles are what true acting is made of."
