Regal sparkle

Solitaires: the royality among diamonds.

RAJMATA GAYATRI Devi is known for her style and the élan with which she carries her jewellery. And her "best friends" are, of course, diamonds. And the Diamond Trading Company (DTC), as a tribute to the queen, has launched an exclusive range of solitaires from its Arisia collection as "a tribute to the Rajmata".

During the launch, the Rajmata said: "Diamonds are a girl's best friend. I feel happy and honoured that the collection is a tribute to me." Some of the designs are based on Rajmata's own personal collection.

The Arisia collection, say the makers of the range, offers women an opportunity to "relive the royal era". The range includes six rings, two kinds of earrings, and two pendants. The solitaire in each design weighs one carat, and is set in classic gold yellow with an antique finish.

The range also includes designs that are inspired by the royal patterns and motifs from the Victorian, Edwardian, and Mughal eras.

The packaging for this collection is also exclusive. The elegant designs are packed in sterling silver jewellery cases with filigree work. The collection, priced at Rs. 2 lakh upwards, is available at C. Krishniah Chetty & Sons, Ganjam Nagappa & Sons, Jewels de Paragon, and Navrathan Jewellers.
