Mad about Maddy

THE FEEL-GOOD candyfloss romantic story "Jay Jay", directed by Saran, is a great opportunity for Maddy to re-establish his image as a romantic hero. Maddy is Jagan, a law student in "Jay Jay" who flips for a girl Jamuna played by debutante Amoga. It is a love-at-first-sight tale where fate and destiny play an important role. There is a nice romantic twist to the climax. An added asset is the music of Bharadwaj; the songs are already topping the charts.

For Maddy who has been in the industry for three years, "Jay Jay" is his 16th film and his core audience are the teenyboppers and women who adore him in romantic roles. Meanwhile, Maddy is all excited about his role in Mani Ratnam's film in which he sports a `new look" and plays a character with shades of grey. And the big news is that 20th Century Fox has signed him up to do a `desi' version of the Hollywood film "Phone Booth" to be directed by E. Nivas.
