Big screen presence

THE INFLUX of film stars into television is on the rise. The established stars with their image, glamour and professionalism help TV programmes soar on TRP charts.

Two popular stars from the silver screen, Chandra Mohan and Jaya Sudha, join hands to offer a laugh riot on the telly. Telecast on the Maa TV, the serial Mr. & Mrs. Subba Rao features the two veteran actors and has Jaya Sudha doing a full-length comic role.

And with Chandra Mohan around, there isn't going to be a dearth of entertaining situations. Humour apart, the narration is laced with enough doses of suspense and family drama.

The serial is produced by Jaya Sudha herself and has `Subhalekha' Sudhakar, Vivek Vasu, Deepti, Tatineni Rajeswari, Malleswari and Shailaja in the cast. Making a departure from the usual practise of scheduling popular mega serials from Monday to Thursday, Maa TV has slotted Mr. & Mrs. Subba Rao at 8.30 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
