Knotted to knitting

Reshma D'Silva: knitting since 10

WATCHING HER aunt and grandmother create beautiful knitwear, Reshma D'Silva at 10 also to venture into the world of wools.

This youngster went on to create accessories such as mufflers, toys, scarves, bags, and even theatrical props. Though this 25-year-old has studied textile designing at Srishti, she prefers her knitting needles, as "this is one of the most underrated mediums."

Reshma is hosting her first exhibition called Stuff at Java City, Lavelle Road, between November 28 and 30. On display there will be a range of hand-knitted woollen accessories created by Reshma.
