Health

SUSHILA KRISHNASWAMI from Greenacres Health Foods has some new introductions, which are ready to eat, low cal high protein products. Since their emphasis on health foods has been to produce all natural options suited particularly to diabetics and obesity control, their products are centred around two principles: inclusion of defatted soya flour - to enrich the protein value without fat and inclusion of fibre by addition of bran - to provide low cal high fibre options. They use only whole-wheat in their bakery products instead of maida.

The following are the new products: (1) Soya enriched papads (in chilli garlic and pepper flavours) (2) High protein soya enriched bakery products such as biscuits and rusks (3) Low cal fibre enriched bakery products such as biscuits and rusks (4) Whole wheat breads and buns (5) Low cal fibre breads and buns (5) High protein soya enriched breads and buns. The first three categories are pre-packed while the rest are available fresh against orders.

There is free door-delivery of all products in Chennai against orders. For outstation orders, products can be couriered on an extra charge with the exception of some freshness sensitive bakery products.

They also offer free diet consultations to customers over phone on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays between 2.30 p.m. and 5.30 p.m. on the Greenacres number 24610572.
