They were the winning entries of Swarnasamarpan, the annual jewellery design contest, organised by the Gold Club of Chennai in association with World Gold Council. The contest was held this August and September.

Of the 2,500 entries from students and professionals, three winning pieces from each category were displayed. Chennai models showcased the jewellery at a fashion show where G. Gopi, T. Among the winning designs were diamond-studded lightweight necklaces, earrings, rings and bracelets, an innovative chain that resembled an ancient stringed instrument and a unique hair ornament.
