COIMBATORE RAILWAY junction has two entrances, one at the State Bank Road and the other at Goods Shed Road. Initially, only a few passengers were using the Goods Shed Road entrance.
But, with the authorities providing good parking space, a large number of commuters are using this entrance.
A major inconvenience that every entrant through this gate faces is the lack of a display board at the entrance, indicating the late/on time arrivals of the various trains and the platforms numbers in which they will arrive, which is provided at the main entry point.
As a result, the passengers are forced to go all the way to the main entrance, just to collect this information.
The railway authorities could help commuters by providing a display board at the second entrance too.
