The art of grants
INDIA FOUNDATION for the Arts (IFA) is seeking applications for grants under its arts collaboration programme for 2004. Under this programme, IFA supports individuals and groups to undertake collaborative projects.
Apart from collaborations between and within obvious art forms such as dance, theatre, music, painting, sculpture, film, literature, architecture, ceramics, print-making, textiles, handicrafts, and so on, it also welcomes collaborations that adopt new forms of practice, forge fresh connections, and envisage innovative encounters between the arts and other disciplines.
Collaborations can be between individuals and/or organisations working as partners on a project jointly conceived. IFA has supported over 100 projects across 17 States, with a total commitment of over Rs. 4 crore in the last eight years. Beneficiaries include musicians, choreographers, painters, sculptors, film scholars, filmmakers, architects, conservationists, sociologists, art historians, craftspersons, and folk performers.
