With the metro water supply position improving, following good inflows into the reservoirs and the Godavari water supply project under execution, the Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation has restored the daily water supply to residents. However, there are still complaints on this count.

There is also a proposal for 24-hour metered water supply. While water supply round the clock is welcomed by one and all, the compulsion of meter installation by the VMC has drawn flak.
