Laughter, the best medicine

VIDHU VINOD Chopra's long time assistant Rajkumar's "Munna Bhai MBBS" is making waves among the preview audience in Mumbai who say it is one of the best Hindi comedies in recent times. Sanjay Dutt plays Munna Bhai and it is a heart-warming story of a goon who masquerades as a doctor to convince his father Hari Prasad Sharma, a strict disciplinarian played by Sunil Dutt. Sanjay shares the screen with his papa Dutt for the first time. The film is said to be loosely based on Robin William's "Patch Adams" and is outrageously funny. Gracy Singh plays Dr. Suman who falls in love with Munna Bhai and it is Boman Irani who steals the thunder as Dr. Asthana with an outstanding performance.
