COME NEXT week and the so-called couch potatoes can jot down the names and timings of two more tele-serials in their weekly `Things to Do' list. While one is strictly for kids, the other is designed for those young at heart.Deepak Segal, Content Head of Star Plus says the show Kuch Kar Dikhana Hai is going to go off the air, and in its place, a new child-centric serial, Hatim Tai will be aired from December 26. To run on Fridays at 8 p.m., the serial, based on the immortal children's classic, is to be rolled out by Ramanand Sagar's Sagar Art. Among others, it will see versatile actor Nirmal Pandey in the garb of the villain Jaal.
While kids can get ready to keep a watch on the adventures of Hatim Tai, along with legendary characters Jaal, Jammi and Jasmine in the show, those game for a love triangle can get hooked to Sony Television every Sunday at 9 p.m. from December 21. Produced by Balaji Telefilms, this one is called Kkoi Dil Mein Hai. Of all, Sony is keeping its fingers crossed, as it might give the channel good ratings during weekends. While Jassi Jaissi Koyi Nahin has been proving lucky for Sony on weekdays, Star Plus invariably comes out a winner during weekendsThe male lead, Samay, will be played by Sandeep Vaswani - famous as Sahil in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi - while the female leads are by Karishma Tanna as Krutika and Poorva Gokhle as Kajal. It will also see Kiron Juneja in the role of Samay's mother.
