Food festivals

CHOLA SHERATON is holding a Mexi-Canadian food-fest that is on till December 28 at its coffee boutique `Café Mercara'. Come and check out the spuds (for potatoes in Native American accent), corn nuggets, salsa, buffalo chicken wings, a motza ball soup and to end on a sweet note, the Chefs here have conjured up real mystical sweets of Canadian origin i.e. the British Columbia nanaimo bars, the Calgary carrot cake, the white chocolate brownie etc. Tel: 28110101 ext. 1908. Timings: 12 noon to 3.00 p.m. & 7.30 p.m. to 11.45 p.m.

* The Khyber Grill, the poolside restaurant at Park Sheraton has a `Sizzlers & Wraps Food Fest' on till December 28.The sizzlers section has Continental delights comprising an assortment of vegetarian & non-vegetarian preparations with a wide variety of marinades to choose from like Jamaican, Lebanese, Tunisian mix, Moroccan Spice, Thai spice, Malaylaksa paste (shrimp paste marinade), smoked chilli Mexican paste & Mediterranean herbs seasoning.

On the wraps front, the veg & non-veg stuffing is mostly Tandoor-based and includes prawn balchao, a Goanese preparation, murg bano kebab, boti achari, subz galauti & milauni tikka. These are wrapped in the guest's choice of bread like khuboos (Lebanese), roomali roti, malai latcha, zaffroni paratha & khasta paratha.

The wraps have a spread of chutney on them. Once again, there is a wide range of chutneys to choose from, like the dil ki chutney, mint chutney, tomato chutney & dahi ki chutney. Timings: 7.30 p.m. to 11.45 p.m. Tel: 24994101 ext -1840
