Spreading cheer
IT'S HARD not to feel peace and goodwill towards all mankind at this time of the year. The season's spirit of joy and cheer caught up with Pizza Corner, which presented toys to CRY (Child Relief and You) at a simple ceremony at Good Shepherd Convent School late last week.
Starting on Children's Day, and continuing over the past four weeks, all Pizza Corner outlets in the city had a `Table of Hearts'. A portion of the sales from each of these tables was donated to CRY.
On November 14 this year, Pizza Corner also started a toy collection drive. All employees delivering pizzas to homes collected toys for underprivileged children till December 20. The toys and money collected from these initiatives were handed over to the charitable organisation.
At the ceremony, the Pizza Corner staff performed a small show, and children from CRY also put up a programme. It was an evening of fun and games all the way for the staff and the kids.
