Anji... Supreme Music...

Rs. 40

THE MUSIC release of Anji created as much sensation and curiosity as any Chiranjeevi's film would evoke.

The much-awaited film is yet to be released but as of now the industry is scrutinising the music.

Mani Sharma has put in his best, one should say, to match the music with the film and the image of the hero.

Lets begin at the very beginning! Chi..buk..pori is a racy and fast-paced number by Shankar Mahadevan, which is bound to attract coins-flower shower from the front-benchers.

Gumma Gulabi Komma is another foot-tapping song followed by Abbo Nee Amma Goppadhe sung by S.P. Balasubrahmanyam with Kalpana.

On the flip side, there is Om Shanthi..Om Shanthi, which is yet another high-powered number sung by Shankar Mahadevan with Ganga.

Manava Manava starts as a slow number but lasts longer on the minds and finally the vibrant and lively Mirapakaya Bajji sung by S.P. Balu sustains the tape's tempo.

Catchy music on the whole, shouldn't be surprised if it races to the top of the charts fast.

HINDI

Chameli... T-Series... Rs. 50

SANDESH SHANDILYA scores music for the film which is in the news for Kareena Kapoor's role. He proves his versatility by creating tunes, which are a blend of old world and contemporary. A certain newness is evident in the compositions.

Sunidhi Chauhan has given her best after Sur. Her voice modulation is different for each song. Rather Shandilya has extracted the best from her.

Bhaage Re Mann and Jaane kyon humko are the good numbers where Sunidhi sounds melodious. Quite a bit of the saxophone is used in the orchestration.

Jaane by Udit Narayan and Sunidhi is another pleasant number. The Soul of Chameli gives the essence of the album.

An instrumental piece with emphasis on the sax, it is rather refreshing to hear. Sajna ve sajna has a folksy lilt to it - like a `gypsy' song. And Sunidhi's voice sounds mature like Reshma and others who sing such numbers.

On the whole one can check out this album.
