Festivities in hotels


NEW YEAR bash is one of the regular activities with all hotels.

This year also some of the hotels in the city are coming out with special programmes for the revellers.

The Best Western Germanus: The event, named `Call 2004', will begin at 8.00 p.m. with a music concert by Anu Pallavi orchestra, followed by a mimicry programme and a magic show. The participants also stand to win various prizes such as `Best dressed couple', `Best dancing couple', `Best singer (solo)', `Best dancer (solo)' and a lucky draw.

The Taj Garden Retreat: All activities will be held at the poolside, which would be lit with fairy lights and decorated with metallic balloons. The activities include a dance by Disk-Jockey of Bangalore and lots of games. The programmes here also have some contests prize-winning contests for the couples.

As a run-up to the celebrations, already the hotels has started conducting programmes, named `Festive Week', at its restaurant along with a Western 3-piece band.

The North Gate: The programme here is titled `Break Free'.

It will offer a chance for the customers to interact with the Chef and find out the recipes of some of the unique dishes served during the programme. Free ice cream for kids, free soft drinks for all guests, free mehendi for women, body painting for children, a giant screen to view New Year celebrations in different places, magic on your tables, table strummers and lots of gifts will be part of celebrations here.
