Rashtrapathi Puraskar
Two Scouts and a Guide of the city have bagged the highest honour of Rashtrapati Puraskar for Scouts and Guides. G. Harish of Gayatri Vidya Parishad and M. Ratnakar, a Std. X pupil of Vigyan Bharati, Dabagardens, bagged the Rashtrapathi Scout awards while R. Pravallika of Vikas Mahila Kalasala won the Rashtrapathi Guide award.
The three winners are from a 17-member Scout wing and 15-member Guide wing. They had attended various selections at the district, State and regional-levels for achieving the award, says the secretary of the S.E. Railway Bharat Scouts and Guides, Waltair District Association.
The awards will be given by the President, A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, at a function to be held in New Delhi in the near future.
