Christmas Tart


Ingredients

Maida - 100 gms
Butter - 60 gms
Icing sugar - 40 gms
Milk - a little (for moistening)
Mixed dry fruits - 200 gms
Brandy and rum - for soaking

Method

1. Soak dry fruits in brandy and rum.

2. Mix flour, butter and sugar with fingertips.

3. Add milk for moistening. Don't knead. Refrigerate for some time.

4. Grease tart mould. Shape the pastry dough and make tart shells.

5. Bake at 150°C for 18 minutes.

6. When cool, fill tart shell with soaked dry fruits.

7. Garnish with icing sugar sieved on top.

Not: Mixed dry fruits include raisins, black currant, walnuts, almonds, orange peel, candied pineapple and dry ginger chips.
