Howzzat

ALL THOSE cricket lovers in Chennai who missed the live telecast of India-Australia test matches because of CAS, can now watch the forthcoming India vs. Pakistan series on a free-to-air channel, probably Doordarshan. The Central government has told broadcasters and cable operators that all sports events (read cricket) should be compulsory beamed free-to-air by those who have telecast rights. If this becomes operational, the Sharjah-based Ten Sports, which has got cricket telecast rights in Pakistan, will have the option of tying up and sharing revenue with Doordarshan or any other free-to-air channel.
